About the book:
Our May book is a spectacular fantasy adventure full of thrills and intrigue, from a best-selling author making their middle grade debut. The OwlCrate Jr edition will feature exclusive endpapers and a color-swapped dust jacket, plus a signed author letter bound right into the book! This story is perfect for fans of the Nevermoor series, The School For Good and Evil, and Amari and the Night Brothers.

Every May SCHOOLS OF WONDER box will include a super stretchy, high-quality fabric book cover to keep your textbooks and novels nice and clean! This one was inspired by a book with TWO magical schools in it, and we’re letting you choose which you'd attend . . . Any guesses what book it might be??
We included the awesome Wild Robot-inspired fabric cover by Shafer Brown (seen above) in our October SCIENCE IS MAGIC box and we can’t wait for you to see the new one Kelly Leigh Miller (@bookofkellz) designed for next month’s theme!

Every May box will also include a stationery kit by @heatherslettering inspired by a very special book in the Nevermoor series! Any guesses?
Heather Mueller is a super talented lettering artist and digital illustrator based in the Bay Area, with a proclivity for doodling botanicals & flowing letterforms, and sharing positivity. She designed the watercolor paint set seen here for our July 2021 box and we’re so happy to collaborate with her again!

Every May box will include a handy fabric school supply item designed by Michelle Gray (@thethemichellegray), perfect for keeping your pens, pencils, and wands in one spot!
We work with Michelle on projects all the time but it is always extra special when she gets to design a big substantial piece like the one for this month.
Michelle's handiwork can be seen all over OwlCrate Jr, such as the incredible and cozy Ozwald Beanie from our December 2020 box and the Narnia-inspired scarf from our December 2021 box.
