Here is what you can expect to find inside the November 2021 box...
Readers beware… here be dragons! Next month's theme is PACKED to the gills (or should we say scales?) with dragon inspired goodies!
About the book:
November’s book is the first in a magical fantasy trilogy, perfect for fans of Philip Pullman, Cornelia Funke, and Diana Wynn Jones. You’re going to love it!
Our monthly hardcover book will feature an exclusive cover with a beautiful reversible dust jacket design, plus it will come with a signed bookplate and letter from the author!
About the rest of the goodies:
In addition to a thrilling new story, every box will include items inspired by The Hobbit, How To Train Your Dragon, The Tea Dragon Society, Wings of Fire, and more!
Sneak Peek #1:
We are SO EXCITED to announce that every November "Dragons" box will include a Hobbit-inspired ceramic mug designed by @carakozik! Cara Kozik is a bookish designer and illustrator with an incredible storytelling artistic style. She has brought to life one of our very favorite literary dragons in this design and it looks SO COOL!
This will be our first time collaborating with Cara and the fourth ceramic mug we've included in an OwlCrate Jr box (this Matilda-inspired design by @risarodil was featured in our July 2020 box). We can't wait to share it with you.
Sneak Peek #2:
Every box will also include a 3D Model Kit from @eugy_dodoland!
EUGY craft kits originated in New Zealand with a mission to connect kids to wildlife and nature with their eco-friendly buildable toys. Every kit is made of environmentally friendly cardboard that is totally biodegradeable and printed with eco-friendly inks, plus they come with everything kids need to complete their model.
We first saw these kits years ago at the NY Toy Fair and are SO glad we finally found the right theme to include them in! They are so fun to build!
Sticker artist sneak peek:
The artist for November's DRAGONS collectible sticker is @izzydoesthings!
Izzy Evans is a wonderful illustrator based out of North London. Their love of drawing began with doodling unicorns in the margins of textbooks. Several crumpled sheets of paper and an illustration degree later, and they are now drawing professionally! Izzy draws inspiration from nature, mythology, and the multicultural history of their city to create their awardwinning work. We absolutely love their dragon sticker illustration and we know you will too.
