Here is what you can expect to find inside our February 2023 box . . .
Practice makes perfect, especially when it comes to casting magical spells!
About the book:
Our February book is a fantastical reimagining of an enduring classic that is laugh out loud funny, touching, and sure to bewitch readers young and old. This story will be perfect for fans of The Girl Who Drank The Moon, Eva Evergreen: Semi-Magical Witch, and Anne of Green Gables.
The OwlCrate Jr edition comes with a signed bookplate and letter from the author, plus an exclusive reading guide!

About the goodies:
In addition to an exclusive hardcover first edition of next month’s book, subscribers will receive items inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service, The Apprentice Witch, Love Sugar Magic, and more! It will also include the second in a collection of twelve enamel pins designed by Jane Mount, the creator of Ideal Bookshelf.
Sneak peek #1:
Every February box will include a high quality insulated lunch bag designed by Pretend Friends! We worked with Pretend Friends most recently in our December THINK BIG box when they designed a super stylin’ pair of socks inspired by The Mysterious Benedict Society. All of their illustrations bring a smile to our face, and this lunch bag is no exception!
This item is inspired by a very special young witch in training (and her beloved familiar). Who can guess the fandom?
Sneak peek #2:
Every February box will include a delicious herbal brew from Riddle's Tea Shoppe! Subscribers can sip on this delicious blend while reading or to relax after a long day of casting spells.
We last included tea from Riddle’s in our COMIC CRUSADERS box — an Incredible’s-inspired “Invisibili-Tea” blend! As with all of the teas Riddle’s creates for our Jr box, this blend will be caffeine, gluten, nut, sugar and dairy free. Have questions about the ingredients? Don’t hesitate to ask in the comments or send us a message!
Sneak peek #3:
You may have noticed a special recipe card in the January box. Well, every February box will include a very special kitchen item to store that recipe and more, designed by Marisol Ortega!
Marisol is a Mexican-American designer, illustrator, and letterer living and working in the PNW. She is best known for her vibrant flora and fauna illustrations that play with texture, linework, bold color palettes, and organic shapes—reflecting an exploration of her cultures.
We are so thrilled to be working with her for the first time on this super useful item! Can you think back to a past OwlCrate Jr book that involves magic and yummy food that may have inspired it?
