Everything You Need To Know About September's "Creature Communities" ThemeBy: OwlCrate Jr Photo By: @heyatlascreative
Here is what you can expect to find inside the September 2021 box...
We’re celebrating creature communities next month, from symbiotic zoological relationships to fictional animal friendships!
About the book:
September's book pick is a timeless low-fantasy tale from one of the biggest middle grade authors of our time, that brings together unforgettable characters and a powerful message about the interconnected nature of all creatures. This story will be perfect for fans of Crenshaw, The One And Only Ivan, and Flora and Ulysses!
For the second month in a row, the OwlCrate Jr edition will be signed, have an exclusive dust jacket design, and feature a special letter from the author bound right into the book!
About the rest of the goodies:
In addition to a beautiful signed hardcover novel, this box is will feature items inspired by Charlotte's Web, Nevermoor, and more! Keep reading for item hints and sneak peeks...
Sneak Peek #1:
Every September box will include a ridiculously cute cotton tote bag, designed by @britterson! This design was inspired by a classic gang of animal friends. Any guesses??
Britt Wilson is a ceramic artist, illustrator, cartoonist, and letterer. We have long admired her work (especially these letter loving bats, which you can find in washi tape form at The Washi Station), and we're so excited to work with her!
Sneak Peek #2:
Every box will also include a Nevermoor-inspired decor item designed by KDP Letters!
Kristen De Palma of @kdpletters designed the beautiful art print shown here for last year's Hollowpox box, and we loved the way she brought Morrigan's Wunder song to life so much we asked her to design a new item celebrating Nevermoor's Wunimal community! It is not an art print, but we know it will look ~wunderful~ hanging on your wall or bookshelf...
Sticker Artist Sneak Peek:
The sticker artist for September's CREATURE COMMUNITIES theme is @sonnyrossillustration! Sonny Ross is a freelance illustrator based in the UK who has worked on all kinds of cool projects, including DK Books, Google, The New York Times, Polygon Games, and many many more! We absolutely love his bright colours and chunky textures, and we know you'll love his funny creature design for this month's box.
