A Great Story for young and old all wrapped up in a beautiful edition.

    "Wow just wow" ~ Resilience

I want to acknowledge that I am not the target audience of this book , as I am quite a bit older, but even for me this book was wonderful and I would recommend it for anyone no matter the age. The book follows a anthropomorphized Mars Rover name Resilience (author states, its loosely based off the real life Perseverance) and its journey from creation to Mars and back and Sophie, a girl that becomes a woman throughout this book as she writes letters to "Res."

Jasmine Warga did a great job of at tackling complex thoughts and emotions such as worry, hope, sadness, friendship and so much more.

The special edition is also stunning with the from the changing color of sky to the iconic red dirt that makes up the Mars landscape on the cover, it is a must for any collection.

This story resonates with my younger sci fi nerd self

A Rover’s Story is one of the sweetest and more hopeful stories I have read in a long time. I believe, as readers, it's important to remind ourselves why we love reading and dive into a story that’s fills the heart. Oh, how I didn’t want it to end! It's an easy read, but it's also filled with thoughtful explorations of the human condition and what’s possible. Its also about how we can project hope to others, even if we never meet them. If you grew up watching Star Trek: TNG, this is like getting into the mind of little Datas as they go on their first mission. While every section of the book is intriguing and shines in their own way, getting to Mars is my favorite. The author adds intrigue and majesty to the alien landscape. The choices the author makes including mysterious sounds and Resilience’s observations of his surroundings create an immersive experience. While not everything is answered, readers are left with a sense of hope. Yes, I agree with the author that science is cool, and the possibilities that are out there have always fascinated me.
