About Riddle's Tea Shoppe
Riddle's Tea Shoppe creates taste experiences reminiscent of fantasy worlds. Since 2015, they've imagined delightful flavors and magical products designed to pull tea lovers into their favorite stories.
Fun Fact: We (Joe and I) first became friends in a writing chat where we exchanged The Lord of the Rings puns, which would end up being the names of our very first tea blends and the start of a storied relationship!

What inspired you to start your own business, and what has been your favourite achievement to date?
In 2012, we set out to create taste experiences reminiscent of our favorite fantasy world—Middle Earth.
We’ve been able to work with several authors and make official tea blends based on their stories.
Working on the Owlcrate x Laini Taylor collaboration was a dream come true—we loved crafting the blend for Miracles for Breakfast!

What would your dream product / collaboration be?
We would love to collaborate with more incredible authors like Alix E. Harrow or Tamsyn Muir, and we’re always hoping to collaborate on more Middle Earth projects!
One very tea-centric collaboration we’d scream about would be a tea blend or tea collection for A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers!
What are some of your favourite books?

We love all genres, but we’ve definitely been on a science fiction kick lately! Some of our favorite books recently are The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir and The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, and we love everything by Stephen Graham Jones.
Some of our favorite tropes are enemies to lovers and the reluctant hero, and we still have a soft spot in our hearts for Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and Brimstone from Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor.
