    Beautiful edition 😍

    This edition is so incredibly eye catching! The colors are are vibrant and the art is gorgeous 😍 The story is amazing and I was turning pages so quickly, this book is not one to miss!

    To me, A Forgery of Fate felt like an incredible mix of Mulan and The Little Mermaid 🐉🧜‍♀️

    But what completely won me over was the world itself. Asian mythology, dragons, and an underwater realm so stunning that it made my imagination run wild. There are phoenix demons, heroic turtles, sharks, dangerous jellyfish, and, of course, the Dragon King. At some point, my imagination just went completely wild 😅

    And beneath all that colorful, magical fantasy is a story about family, love, and connection. At its heart, it’s a reimagining of the classic Beauty and the Beast tale, but it’s so vibrant and deeply infused with Asian mythology that it feels entirely like a story of its own.

    The only thing I wished for was a little more romance — I would have loved to see the relationship between the characters develop a bit more. But the incredible world more than made up for it.

    And the book design deserves a special mention. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The details, the illustrations, the colors… And the little fish along the page edges are just incredible! 🐟🩷

    Overall, this is one of those books you don’t just want to read — you also want to stop every now and then just to admire it.
