OwlCrate is a monthly subscription service that delivers newly published hardcover novels and a collection of bookish goodies to your doorstep.
Our Middle Grade boxes (formerly OwlCrate Jr) are awarding winning book boxes designed for ages 10-13, or anyone young at heart!
Each Book & Goodies box contains a newly released novel and 4-5 themed items inspired but the book and monthly theme.
We also offer a Book Only option. All books have exclusive designs and extras from the author!
We carefully curate every box to encourage curiosity, creativity, and imagination. Our main monthly book picks tend to lean towards a higher reading level, making them great independent reads for strong readers or fun read-alouds for younger or new readers. The boxes are designed to be gender-neutral so any young reader can enjoy them.
We understand there are some strong young readers in the world and that every reader is at a different reading and maturity level. We feel our monthly book picks are captivating enough to hold the attention of strong readers but, if you are torn, we recommend taking a look at our Past Boxes to decide whether Middle Grade or Young Adult is a better fit for your reader.
We currently offer Monthly, 3-Month, and 6-Month plans for both our Book & Goodies and Book Only Middle Grade Subscriptions.
Book & Goodies
Monthly Plan = $32.99 USD per month plus shipping and applicable taxes.
3-Month Plan = $95.97 USD per 3-Month period plus shipping and applicable taxes.
6-Month Plan = $185.94 USD per 6-Month period plus shipping and applicable taxes.
Book Only
Monthly Plan = $19.99 USD per month plus shipping and applicable taxes.
3-Month Plan = $56.97 USD per 3-Month period plus shipping and applicable taxes.

Our monthly subscription boxes typically ship between the 15th and 20th of each month. Once your box ships, you will receive an email with your shipping notification and tracking number. Delays can happen so be sure to check our Shipping Updates Page if you are curious about your shipment.
International boxes ship a bit earlier in the month as the process takes a bit longer, but you will receive an email with your shipping notification and tracking number around the time your box leaves the US, usually between the 15th and 20th.
Please make sure your shipping address on file is up to date before your next scheduled renewal, or email support@owlcrate.com to get your current month's shipment updated before the 5th of the month. If you are contacting support after the 5th, we may or may not be able to update your address depending on the status of your shipment in our system.
