ABOUT GRAPHICSBYGEKA
Art By @graphicsbygeka on Instagram
Geka (she/her) is a psychology graduate and registered psychometrician from the Philippines. Aside from being a passionate artist and designer, she’s also an author. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022, she discovered her love for design.
As an author, she struggled to find designers for her book covers, so she took matters into her own hands. She learned the ropes of design, practicing with the book covers of her fellow authors, and eventually she began selling her premade designs. She works with a range of tools, including Photoshop, Ibis Paint X, and Adobe Illustrator, to create her high-quality designs that span book covers, character art, sprayed edge designs, and beyond.
When she’s not creating art, reading, or writing, you can find her in the corner playing games. She loves Mobile Legends, Honor of Kings, co-op games like Overcooked and It Takes Two, God of War, and many more.
Where do you find inspiration
for your designs?
My designs are inspired by the stories I love—from movies and manhwas to books and even the stories I could have written myself.
Do you have a favorite piece of art you've created to date? What makes it special to you?
One of my favorite designs I’ve made is the cover art for Lord of Bones by R.K. Pierce and Aiden Pierce. There’s something special about it—the elements come together to tell a story that feels almost dark and magical.

What are some of your favorite
books or authors?
When I'm not designing or writing, you can find me with my nose buried in a book. Some of my all-time favorites include Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan, and A Light in the Flame by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Aside from books, I am also a big fan of Manhwas and Mangakas, especially if they have a plot of revenge stories or if they are from a villain’s perspective.
