ABOUT LOVELITTLENIKKI
Art by @lovelittlenikki on Instagram
Nicole (she/her) is an artist based in Chilliwack, BC, where she lives with her fiancé and small dog, Bowser. She has always loved art, whether that's creating it, doodling, or coloring in books.
After graduating from secondary school, she started creating illustrations and posting them on Instagram, and she started doing commissions for her close friends. She mainly creates her art using digital linework, and when she’s in the mood to paint, she uses acrylics.
Beyond art, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, music festivals, and listening to music.
"After posting tattoo commissions for years, I started to have subscription boxes reach out to me. I couldn’t believe it, to be honest. I’m still so grateful for all the companies I do work for!"
Where do you find inspiration
for your designs?
My inspiration is drawn from the stars, nature, and books I read!
Do you have a favorite piece of art you've created to date? What makes it special to you?
I recently designed a set of books for Jordan A. Day for her Power & Promise series. We worked closely together to create some absolutely stunning editions. It’s always a special thing when an author chooses you to design the special editions for an entire series!
LOVELITTLENIKKI X OWLCRATE
Nicole (@lovelittlenikki) is the artist behind:
- The exclusive foiled end page art in the OwlCrate limited edition of Hearts That Cut by Kika Hatzopoulou.
- The foil hardcover case on the OwlCrate edition of A Forbidden Alchemy by Stacey McEwan which was featured in the July 2025 'Bottled Up Secrets' Quarterly Romantasy Box.
"I’ve worked on a couple OwlCrate books. I’d have to say my favorite project was A Forbidden Alchemy. I illustrated the hard cover case for that book!"
What are some of your favorite
books or authors?
Currently, my favorite author is Rachel Gillig. I just finished The Knight and The Moth, and I was in awe. I absolutely adore her writing style; she paints a beautiful picture in my mind!
