The story continues...

Chapter 32:
Inside Myra greets Ava and an unconscious Lucy. She apparently got very ill in the afternoon and then passed out. Myra tells Ava about who she is and Ava suggests she try to use her Prodigy magic to heal her sister. It seems to work the first try but after some extreme pain Lucy again loses consciousness.

Chapter 33:
They try again and again, but nothing seems to work. Ava notices that Myra has gone into sepsis. Going into a rage, Myra tells Ava to leave. She gets in bed with her sister and cries.

Chapter 34:
Myra decides it’s time to beg August for help. When Ava returns Myra starts the walk to Rose Manor, luckily catching Vincent’s cab most of the way. She sneaks in through the east gate and through the kitchens. She eventually comes across the Governor’s weapon collection, and picking the lock decides to arm herself. She quickly hides behind the door as the Governor sees it ajar.

Chapter 35:
Complaining about negligent servants, the Governor leaves and Myra decides to go to the fourth floor, thinking August’s room may be close to Will’s. Eventually finding him, Myra holds the dagger to his neck, demanding to know if he killed Will. If he’s a Prodigy. He denies it and Myra breaks down, telling him she lost the money he gave her and about how ill Lucy is. While he doesn’t have any more money, he wants to help, and he takes her through a servant’s passage to avoid being detected. Only problem is, once inside, the door slams shut behind them leaving them in darkness.

Chapter 36:
Nigel approaches them, telling August to let him take Myra and there will be no consequences. When they refuse, Nigel tries to kill them. After a scuffle August is left unconscious and Nigel overpowers Myra, holding a wet cloth to her face until she passes out.

Chapter 37:

Myra wakes to find Vincent tending to her in the room she and August discovered on the fifth floor. He tells her he has taken care of Nigel, and that August will be okay, but before she can go he needs to tell her something. He implies that he's also a Prodigy. He also reveals that he and Ameline were in love, and year ago she had a miscarriage. He wants Myra's help to bring his son, Silas, to life.

 Questions:

  1. Do you think Vincent killed Nigel?
  2. What do you think Nigel was going to do with Myra if he was successful? Do you think he has been the one following Myra?
  3. If Vincent is a Prodigy, why do you think he wants Myra's help with re-creating Silas?
  4. Predict who done it in this whodunit!
