Sleep Like Death is a retelling of the classic Snow White story with a twist.

Eve is capable of communicating with animals and conjuring weapons from nature. She has trained all her life to kill the dreaded Knight who cursed one of her mothers. As Eve readies to face him and put an end to his torment, she notices her mother, the Queen, acting strangely. Now, she must figure out a way to save her mother and the kingdom before it’s too late.

    An auto-buy author!

    I love Kalynn Bayron. If she writes a book, I plan on reading the book. When Owlcrate announced this book, I knew for sure that I would not skip that month.

    I greatly enjoyed the story! Kalynn took familiar beats of Snow White and made them her own.

    The edition is pretty and I loved the hardback. However, I did find the art on the front end pages a bit too dark to truly enjoy the art.

    Overall the solid green edges fut this story more than a design would imo.
