About the book:

Our October book is a tale inspired by Chinese mythology all about two characters with very different destinies, and what happens when their paths intertwine. This story features so many things we love - rich world building, dangerous adventure, slow burn romance, and a magical sword!

We will be including a beautiful exclusive edition of the book which will feature an exclusive cover, SPRAYED EDGES, a reversible dust jacket (artist to be revealed soon!), and an exclusive foil design on the hardcover case! Every book will also be signed and come with a letter from the author!

About the rest of the goodies: 

Items included will be inspired by The Lord of the Rings, Shadow of the Fox, Star Wars, Spin the Dawn and Call Down the Hawk!

Sneak Peek #1: 

Every October WIELD YOUR BLADE box will include an exclusive candle made by the amazing people at Flick the Wick! We’ve worked with Flick the Wick a few times in the past and we’re always over the moon with the scents they conjure up! They’ve created a candle inspired by one of our favorite YA fantasies that you’re sure to love.

Dust Jack Artist Reveal: 

Our October box will feature a reversible dust jacket with artwork by the amazing Kim Ekdahl (@pinktofu_art)!

We’ve been fans of Kim’s work for years, and it’s been on our ‘OwlCrate Bucket List’ to work with her. We’re so thrilled to have collaborated on an absolutely beautiful reversible jacket! We also worked closely with the author of our October book to ensure that the characters and scenes were depicted accurately. We truly can’t wait for you to see it!

Sneak Peek #2:

This box will contain an item designed by our good pal Stella Bookish Art! Stella has helped design a very beautiful and useful item. It’s something we’ve never sent in a box before, and we have a feeling you’ll find it extra handy!
