Our Middle Grade and Young Adult Book & Goodies subscriptions will include a newly released hardcover novel (usually with special features!) along with 4-5 high-quality goodies related to the monthly book and other fandoms.

Our Book Only subscriptions will be just that - a book, only.

Our new Adult Fantasy subscriptions are exclusively Book Only. No goodies (for now...)

The Book Only book will be the same book included in the coinciding Book & Goodies box.

If we have temporarily sold out of subscription spots you will be directed to join our waitlist.  When you join the waitlisst, you will receive an email confirming you are on the list. 

Once new subscription spots become available, we will start reaching out to those on the list, in small batches and in the order in which they joined. Within the email will be a special purchase link.

If we have contacted everyone on the list and there are still spots available, we will re-open the site to the public and you can purchase a subscription or gift through owlcrate.com.

Adding your email to the list doesn't reserve a box for you. If you change your mind after you have joined the list, you are under no obligation to buy a box - you can simply ignore the invitation to subscribe when it comes. 

However, if you don't purchase a subscription when you are sent an invite, you will lose your place on the Wait List and will have to rejoin the waitlist if you want to subscribe in the future.

Shipping times are dependent on your purchase.

Monthly Subscription Boxes typically ship between the 15th and 25th of the month and, once your box ships, you will receive an email with your shipping notification and tracking number.

Online Store Orders including past boxes, books, and items typically ship within 3-6 business days of being purchased. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your shipping notification and tracking number.

Please note: Shipping notifications will be sent at the time your shipment is processed/shipping label is printed but it can take a couple of days before USPS officially scans your package and you start seeing movement. Don't worry, your order is on the way!

Special Edition Pre-Orders will have a general ship date available in the shop listing. We will have more specific information available as we get closer to that date.Our Shipping Updates Page will always have the most up-to-date information on monthly boxes and pre-orders.

The shipping cost is PER BOX. If you purchase a 3-Month Young Adult Book & Goodies subscription shipped within the US, you will be charged $104.97 USD for the subscription and 3 x $11.99 USD for shipping.

Please note: The above, fixed shipping rates are for our regular monthly subscription boxes. For any past boxes, books and items purchased through the shop, shipping will be calculated at checkout.

All prices are in USD. Any applicable State, Provincial or National (UK VAT, AUS GST, etc) taxes are applied at checkout.

*US shipping rates vary for Alaska, Hawaii, and other territories. Some territories will be $26.99 USD ($21.99 USD for Book Only)

We currently ship to most countries* and though door-to-door tracking isn't offered in every country we ship to, almost everyone is able to subscribe!

To update your payment details, simply log into your OwlCrate customer account and click the Billing Information tab on your main account page.

This will take you to a page where you will see an Add Payment Method button.

Click it and add all your details to the form/sidebar. Click Add Payment Method at the bottom of the form to confirm.

To update your address, simply log into your customer account and click MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS or My Subscriptions.

On the next page, you can expand the active subscription box by clicking the [+]. You will then see a teal [>] next to your current address. When you click that arrow, a window will open so you can enter your new shipping address. To confirm, click UPDATE SHIPPING ADDRESS.

Note: Be sure to update your shipping address before your renewal goes through on the 1st. If you updated your address after your renewal has already gone through, your box will still be shipped to the old address. Changes made after your renewal will only take affect with your next scheduled renewal. If you do need to update your address for the current month, please contact support@owlcrate.com before the 5th of the month. We will be able to update your address for you as long as your shipment hasn't been processed.

* Updating your Billing Address does not affect your Shipping Address.

If you are on the monthly plan and would like to skip a box, simply log into your customer account and click MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS or My Subscriptions (both in teal).

On the next page, expand the active subscription box by clicking the [+] and you will then see the SKIP RENEWAL option on the left.

Be sure to skip before your renewal goes through on the 1st of that month. If you forget and a charge goes through, please email support@owlcrate.com as you will no longer be able to skip that box through your customer account.

If you are on the 3-Month or 6-Month plan and wish to skip a box, please email support@owlcrate.com and we can skip your box for you.

If you skip a multi-month plan through your customer account, you will not be skipping one box but an entire 3- or 6-Month cycle.

We're sorry to see you go but understand if you need to take a break!

To cancel your subscription, simply log into your customer account and click MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS or My Subscriptions. On the next page, you can expand the active subscription box by clicking the [+]. At the bottom right, you will see Membership Options. You can cancel your subscription there.

Note: Cancelling only affects future renewals, it doesn't trigger an automatic refund. Any boxes that have already been paid for a time of cancellation will still be shipped. If you need to cancel any unshipped boxes, please email us at support@owlcrate.com.

We love being able to offer Exclusive OwlCrate Books and Special Edition Boxes! These books and boxes are completely separate from our regular monthly subscription boxes and must be purchased individually through our shop.

Active subscribers will be sent an early access email, letting them know the date and time books/boxes will go on sale. If books/boxes haven’t sold out within the first 24 hours after going on sale, we will send the access link to everyone on our Newsletter List and to those in The Nest. After another 24 hours have gone by, we will open sales to the public if we have any remaining stock.

Please note: To qualify as an active subscriber, you can be subscribed to Book Only or Book & Goodies. If you are a new subscriber signing up to receive early access emails, we are unable to cancel/refund that first book or box once the early access email has been sent.

Special Edition Books and Boxes are a pre-order and will ship closer to the release date of the book itself. Details will always be noted in the shop listing. If it happens that you need to change the shipping address on your order, please contact support@owlcrate.com as soon as you can. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your shipping notification and tracking number.

Please note that Special Edition Books and Boxes will show as SOLD OUT in the shop until the date and time they go on sale. All the information you need will be in the early access email so be sure to read it carefully.

Special Edition Books and Boxes are pre-order and often don't ship until a later date. If you are unsure whether or not you have already ordered a special edition book/box, please email suuport@owlcrate.com and we will be happy to check the system. If you purchase a second copy without realizing you already made a purchase, you will receive two copies when we start shipping, and once an order has shipped, we are unable to accept returns.
