The Scorpion Queen is a dark fantasy fairy tale where one girl goes on a perilous journey against all odds.
Once the daughter of a prosperous salt merchant, Amie’s life was cruelly overturned in a matter of months. Now, Amie finds herself disinherited and forced to serve Princess Mariama of Mali. At first, Amie’s life at court is drudgery, but the more she learns about the princess and the deadly trials the Emporer has constructed for her potential suitors, the closer the two girls become. Although Amie plans to escape, a mysterious discovery forces her hand, making her have to choose between fleeing or helping the princess end the trials forever. Amie will need to draw on all her strength and courage to take charge of her own destiny.
