ABOUT IMJENNDOVE

Jennifer (she/her) is a Danish illustrator based in Denmark. She’s always been drawn to art ever since she could hold a pencil. Art has been the one constant in her life. What really got her onto the path she is on now is when her older brother gifted her a drawing tablet for the first time. She was 13 at the time and felt that it was the beginning of something great.
She likes to grab her sketch book every once in a while, but most of her art is done digitally, and she loves creating book covers, endpapers, and character illustrations. In the past, she has worked on book covers for publishers including HarperCollins and Penguin Random House, as well as authors like Leigh Bardugo and Ava Reid.
Where do you find inspiration
for your designs?
Books, books, books! Nothing inspires me to draw more than books do. I love reading, and I love bringing scenes and characters I read about to life.
Do you have a favorite piece of art you've created to date? What makes it special to you?
My favorite piece I've created so far is probably my illustration of Clary, Jace, and Simon from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I grew up reading those books, and I feel like I really captured the nostalgia in that piece.

What are some of your favorite
books or authors?
I have so many, and I've been struggling to narrow it down to about 5 series. But here we go:
- The Aurelian Cycle by Rosaria Munda
- The Glass Alliance by Joanna Hathaway
- Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
- The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
I have so many more, but if I kept going, I'd have to turn in 18 pages LOL.
