Love our OwlCrate books but looking for more? Look no further! Below we've curated a selection of past OwlCrate books along with other titles we think you'd enjoy that have similarities!

If you loved Lore by Alexandra Bracken for the Greek mythology you might like:

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller: This adult novel explores the relationship between Patroclus and Achilles. While very different from Lore, it dives deeps into a fantastic Greek story - that just might make you cry.

Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis: Another adult pick here but it's fantastic! Apollo and Hermes make a wager - a year a servitude if an animal is even more unhappy than a human if given human intelligence. They grant 15 dogs human consciousness and language and brace themselves for the incredibly divisive, and interesting, results.

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan: Duh. We would be remiss to recommend books based on Greek myth without mentioning the world of Percy Jackson! From the original Heroes of Olympus series to the now recently finished Trials of Apollo, these books hold a special place in people's hearts for a reason!

If you loved The Ones We're Meant to Find by Joan He for the climate conversation you might like:

Want by Cindy Pon: Set in a near future Taipei, the rich use their money to buy suits that protect them from the persistent air pollution while the lower classes die young. After the death of his mother, Jason Zhou wants to infiltrate the corporation the manufactures the suits to take it down from within. It's a fast paced story that will have you thinking about ethics and climate change.

Not A Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis: In this book we follow Lynn, who lives and survives alone in the middle of a desolate wilderness. Her sole purpose in life is to stay alive, and that means protecting the pond on her property at any cost. It's a dark look at what it means to survive where water is scarce, and what that will drive people to do.

Dry by Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman: Similar Not a Drop to Drink, Dry is set in a version of California in which they are quickly running out of water. When the taps run dry neighbors and families turn against each other in search of water. It's a fast paced story that definitely had me saying "too real" to myself at points!

If you loved A Lesson In Vengeance by Victoria Lee for the dark academia vibes you might like:

Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson: Truly Devious is truly so much fun. Set at the prestigious Ellingham Academy, our protagonist Stevie Bell is admitted to attempt to solve the murder of the founder's wife and daughter. You will fall in love with the quirky cast of characters while we join Stevie on her mission.

The Magicians by Lev Grossman: Quentin Coldwater is an apathetic high school senior quietly obsessed with a series of Narnia-esque books set in the land of Fillory. To his surprise, he finds himself admitted to a top secret magical college where he and his classmates learn all about their hidden talents. They also discover that Fillory is real - and not what Quentin expected.

Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé: A more contemporary story, Ace of Spades follows two Black teens, Devon and Chiamaka, who attend an elite (and overwhelmingly white) school. Both are determined to succeed, but when someone starts sending the student body anonymous texts that seem to be meant to take Devon and Chiamaka down, they must get to the bottom of what they discover is a much deeper problem.
