'The Buried and the Bound' Book Club Readalong Day 3!

Welcome to the third day of our book club readalong for OwlCrate's January book, The Buried and the Bound by Rochelle Hassan!
Just a reminder that this will be a SPOILER discussion for Chapters 11-15 of The Buried and the Bound, so make sure you read are finished this section before continuing.

Chapter 11:
Aziza and Leo end up being chased by the hounds, and fleeing in Leo's car they head to the library which Jiddo warded when Aziza was a kid. The hounds surround the library, but inside they find a trunk with a hollowed out bottom leading to a waterway. Not seeing any other option, they jump in, which takes them to the ocean.
Meryl shows up at the beach where they emerge, having heard the library’s alarm and deducing who may have been the one responsible. She won’t explain anything, but agrees that she will help them in any way she can.
After, Leo and Aziza agree to try to find the boy Aziza saw with the hounds after the festival.
Chapter 12:
Leo and Tristan were inseparable and secretly dating, and Leo didn’t fully believe that Tristan’s curse was real. That was until Tristan’s sixteenth birthday, when Tristan did in fact forget Leo, no longer recognizing him. In the middle of a fight Leo came out to his parents, who kicked him out. That was when the hag found him - and now he is bound to her for ten years of service for a broken curse.
Chapter 13:
The next day Leo’s family is out, and taking advantage of being alone he snoops through his parent’s room for clues about the curse. Stashed away in a jewelry box hidden in a drawer he finds a picture of him and his sister when they were young, along with a strange flexible translucent object which he pockets to show Aziza.
Stuck in an alley with one of the hounds, Leo finds he is able to shadow-travel with it, and the hound took them to Elphame. There he meets the Ash Witch, who he knows not to look at, but she tells him she can give him the answers he’s looking for.
Chapter 15:
A nymph comes to Aziza asking her to stop the hunters fouling the forest. In exchange for a lock of her hair, the nymph agrees to take Aziza and Leo to the necromancer. They track down Tristan and Aziza approaches alone. He uses one of the hounds to pin Aziza down and warn her not to come find him. That’s when they hear Leo yell.
