ABOUT THE ROLE

Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a versatile, quick-thinking, and talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll create digital assets for all of our marketing projects and beyond.

If you are a book lover who is passionate about creating eye-catching visual graphics that can break through the noise and reach our audience, and you love having multiple projects on the go, this might be the perfect fit.

Who You'll Be working With

You'll be part of OwlCrate’s design team and you'll work closely with the marketing team to bring campaigns and projects to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Design graphics for social media posts, newsletters, ads, and marketing campaigns
  • Create promotional artwork for product launches and monthly boxes
  • Support the design team with formatting and resizing graphics
  • Design visual assets for our podcast, blog, and online events
  • Assist in creating design assets for the website & ad-hoc projects
  • Work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute fun, engaging content
  • Support the creation of print-on-demand products (stickers, mugs, apparel, etc.)
  • Ensure consistency with our brand aesthetic and tone across all platforms
  • Maintain organized file structure and version control for internal and external review
REQUIREMENTS

You Might BE OUR PERSON IF YOU...

  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design
  • Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, & Canva
  • Fast, adaptable, and detail-oriented — you can manage multiple quick-turn projects
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects at once
  • Passion for books, storytelling, fandoms, and creative visuals

Bonus Points If You have:

  • Video and audio editing skills
  • 2D/3D animation skills

This is a permanent, remote position open to anyone worldwide, with strong written and verbal communication skills and willing to regularly attend meetings during working hours in Pacific or Eastern time. We are ideally seeking a full time hire, but will work with the right candidate on flexibility for personal needs. Please note that if you live outside of Canada, you will join our team as an Independent Contractor.

The target salary for this role is $60,000 (Canadian Dollars), or equivalent in local currency. Applications outside of this scope are welcome, please identify this in your application.
